Association of Puerto Rican Students, Campus Organization Award
The MIT Association of Puerto Rican Students organized a three-day donation drive to help Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricanes Irma and Maria. The group set-up a table collecting donations outside of the student center, and raised more than $5,700 in monetary donations and 6,000 pounds of in-kind donations, which have served over 5,000 people in need on the island.
